We can support planning, drafting, or editing of any work you’ll be sharing with your school community--students, teachers, parents, Board members, neighbors.

We aim to write the future we want into existence. We know that language has power, and the writing process can help us sharpen our commitments as well as share them.

Writing + Editing

Language has world-changing power. This idea can get twisted into attachment to using specific language, and then categorizing the world into “good people who use the right words” and “bad people who use the wrong words,” which is our oppressive society trying to work through us, asking us to believe in binaries and sort each other.

What we make with words--a parent newsletter, a PD plan, a video, a slide deck, a t-shirt--does however point to some kind of future. It can point to a future a lot like right now, or it can point to one in which all people are free. It can be guided by acceptance of the inevitability of the status quo, or by the conviction that our students deserve better, we deserve better, and together we are going to bring about transformation.
